The Council has adopted a revised Code of Conduct which sets out the conduct which is expected of Members and Co-opted Members of the Council.
The Standards Committee of the Council has the responsibility for considering complaints that a Member of the Council may have breached the Members' Code of Conduct.
The Code covers areas of individual behaviour and sets out rules which govern disclosure of interests at Council meetings and a requirement for Councillors to record their financial and other interests.
The Register of Members' Interests and the Code of Conduct are available to download below and are open for public inspection at the Town Hall
If you have a complaint about the conduct of a Member of the Council it should be submitted in writing to:

The Standards Committee will not look at complaints that are about:
- Actions of people employed by the Council
- A decision or action by the authority or one of its committees
- A service provided by the authority or the authority's procedures
