Committee Meetings

Most major council decisions are made by committees. All major policy decisions are made by the council's Cabinet, which consists of five members of the party in power including the Leader of the Council.

Most committee meetings, and the agendas, reports and minutes of those meetings, are open to the public. We aim to publish agendas and reports seven days in advance of the relevant meeting and minutes within the seven days following the meeting. You can search for meeting documents below or click on individual committee names in this section to browse by committee.

Most meetings also offer some time for public questions, which must be submitted in advance. You can submit a question online - See Public Questions for more details.

Meetings usually take place in the Town Hall and you can download the committee calendar below.  However, meeting times and dates are subject to change so please call the Local Democracy team on 01323 415023/415031 to confirm if you wish to attend.
