External Appeals

If you are not content with the outcome of your internal appeal, you may apply directly to the Office of Public Sector Information (OPSI) for a decision.
 
Generally, OPSI cannot make a decision unless you have already exhausted the internal complaints procedure provided by Eastbourne Borough Council.
 
Further appeals should be sent to the OPSI for review.  Any complaint to OPSI must:
 
  • Be made in writing,
  • State the nature of the complaint in no more than 2,000 words, and
  • Include a copy of the Council’s written response to the complaint under regulation 17(3) where this exists.
 
OPSI will acknowledge the complaint in writing within 3 working days of receipt. All appeals should be sent to:
