The Council has an obligation to publish a list of the main documents available for re-use, preferably in an electronic format. This is commonly called an Information Asset Register. Eastbourne Borough Council has chosen to incorporate this information into its current Publication Scheme which was developed to meet the Council’s obligations under the various Access to Information legislation.
The regulations only apply to documents which:
- Have been identified by the Council as being available for re-use;
- Have already been provided to an applicant; or
- Are otherwise accessible. This means it is accessible other than by making a request for it using the Freedom of Information Act or Environmental Information Regulations.
Information accessible from the Council’s Information Asset Register will include items such as;
- Economic Information
- Environmental Information
- Social Information
- Legal Information
- Scientific Information
- Cultural information
- Political Information
