District Councils
Eastbourne Borough Council is one district council of five in East Sussex. The other district councils for East Sussex are:

South East England Regional Assembly
Another regional body is the South East England Regional Assembly which consists of representatives from local authorities and other bodies from throughout Sussex, Kent, Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire.
The role of Regional Assemblies is to give representative voice to the regions of England with the ability to promote the interests of the region with the Government, Europe and other national agencies.
