A 'quick time' consultation exercise was undertaken to support existing evidence already collated by the Authorities. The consultation closed on Monday 4th July 2011.
Following extensive feedback from Sussex Police, businesses and residents in the direct locality regarding crime, disorder, anti social behaviour, street drinking and general nuisance arising from groups congregating in this vicinity, an exciting opportunity presented itself.
Eastbourne Borough Council would like to re-brand the area in question as the “Langney Place Cultural Crescent,” offering a designated, managed space for street art, theatre and entertainment to take place.
The consultation was regarding the removal of benches in this area and them being replaced with a small number of single seats, allowing individuals to sit and enjoy the area.
