The Council is commencing a review of the polling districts and polling places in its area.
A polling district is the geographical sub-division of an electoral area. Neither the parliamentary constituency boundary nor the local government ward or division boundaries may be changed by this review.
A polling place is the building or area in which polling stations are located. The Council has prepared draft proposals which are published on the Council's website and available for inspection as set out below.
Any elector within the Eastbourne Parliamentary Constituency may make representations on the current arrangements and draft proposals. Representations on these or any other related matters are welcomed from persons or groups with interest or expertise in the access to premises of facilities for persons who have different forms of disability. Any person or body making a representation should where appropriate give alternative places that may be used as polling places.
Details of the current arrangements for polling districts and polling places and proposals for change, together with supporting information, can be downloaded (see below) or may be inspected at the Town Hall, Grove Road, Eastbourne on Mondays to Fridays between 9.00am and 5pm.
