Eastbourne Borough council has been preparing its local development strategy for the whole town.
Four Potential ways have been identified in which the South East Plan target of 4,800 new homes can be achieved up to 2026.
Residents were invited to have their say about which of the four options should be the Borough's preferred development strategy whichwas open for public consultation from Monday 2nd November 2009 until Sunday 31st January 2010.

The Council had also undetaken a sustainability assessment for all the neighbourhoods to identify the areas in which new homes could be most successfully integrated.
Fifteen consultation events were held across the town during November and December. Every resident in the town was invited to attend and discuss what their neighbourhood needs were in order to improve quality of life.
