Sovereign Harbour residents
Sovereign Harbour residents will be asked to vote in the referendum ballot. Residents should receive ballot papers on or about 10 October. Details about who can vote and registering to vote are given on the page “The referendum ballot”.
Any other Sovereign Harbour residents who are not (for whatever reason) able to vote in the referendum ballot can send in their views in writing. Please use the link to the Contact Form at the bottom of this page or write to Local Democracy (SH review), Eastbourne Borough Council, Town Hall, Grove Road, Eastbourne, East Sussex, BN21 4UG. Please give your full address otherwise we will not be able to take your views in account. Tell us if you are either in favour or against the proposal to have a parish council. Respond by no later than Noon, Friday 31 October.
Local business and community groups.
In addition to consulting local residents in the referendum ballot, the Council wishes to consult local businesses, local public and voluntary organisations, - such as schools, health bodies and residents’ groups.
Businesses and groups do not need to be located in Sovereign harbour, but should have links with the Harbour and its residents.
We are drawing up a list of such bodies and hope to send out a letter inviting comments by the middle of September and giving a deadline of 31 October for responses.
If you are a local business or community group and want to comment please use the link to the Contact Form at the bottom of this page or write to Local Democracy (SH review), Eastbourne Borough Council, Town Hall, Grove Road, Eastbourne, East Sussex, BN21 4UG giving us your contact details including e-mail or postal address.
