The clock in the town centre, outside WHSmiths, was first constructed in 2000 and was a Youth Council Project. It was built alongside the sundial and both are made from natural Portland Stone.
Since the Youth Council for Eastbourne disintegrated, the Junior Youth Forum will be taking on the Youth Clock as their new project.
The Junior Youth Forum will be responsible for raising funds to pay for annual maintenance and raising the awareness of this fantastic but forgotten youth project.
