The council tax discount on second homes was reduced on 1st April 2004 from 50% to 10%.
The four authorities who levy council tax (Eastbourne Borough Council, East Sussex County Council, Sussex Police Authority and East Sussex Fire Authority) agreed to pass a proportion of the extra revenue raised direct to local strategic partnerships to fund projects directly in support of community strategies.
