In September 2004 the ESP agreed to develop a pilot project to focus on a specific area of Eastbourne.
The project would include mapping:
- baseline socio-economic data and a population profile,
- gaps in services, and
- what the community wants.
The ESP wanted to choose an area where the project could influence as many people’s lives as possible. We decided to focus on Devonshire Ward and use the Audit Commission's Area Profile model for the project.

What Next?
A Devonshire Neighbourhood Action Plan was launched on the 11th March at a community event. A copy of the action plan is available to down load below.
