A one stop website has been launched for Eastbourne residents and employers to help local people improve their chances in securing work, and to help employers grow their workforce and create work opportunities for those looking for work.
The website is broken down into themes to make it easy to find the support job seekers and employers need.
Job Seekers
For those looking for work, the website has a full listing of all the support available to job seekers in finding and increasing their chances of gaining employment. This includes support to help improve your CV, start up a business, where to look for work, how to volunteer and training advice. The website also has a calendar of free and subsided local training, events and jobs fairs.
Employers
Employers have access to a full listing of all the business support related to growing their business and improving their workforce development as well as access to support to recruit volunteers and unemployed people and programmes to engage in work related learning activities.
Through funding from the Big Lottery Fund, Activating Eastbourne is also piloting every Thursday for the remainder of this year a single and easy point of contact for employers to help them navigate the website and access support based on their labour market needs and corporate social responsibility aims.
