Background
Eastbourne's Faiths Forum began life in January 2008. It was born out of feedback from a consultation event which showed there was a gap in regards to people of faith having a platform from which to voice their views.
In January 2008 the first meeting of the Faiths Forum took place and faith leaders were invited to take part from a variety of faiths represented in the town. Since this time membership has grown and a lot of trust has built up between the faiths represented.
The Forum sets it own agenda and agrees its own actions. It is administrated by the council.
