The Council sometimes awards Grant in the form of discounted rent to organisations leasing property from us.
The Council has a policy of setting market rents on all our properties, but some sports clubs, community centres and charitable groups occupying our properties may not have enough income to pay this full market rent. We therefore invite them to apply for Rent Support Grant when they are preparing to enter into a lease agreement or their rent is being reviewed.
Applicants must meet eligibility criteria and be able to demonstrate that they are delivering a valuable service to Eastbourne residents with open access to their activities and premises.
