Apply for a Grant

Who can apply?

Not-for-profit voluntary organisations, community groups and charities working for the benefit of Eastbourne residents may apply for a grant. Full details of eligibility for grants are given in the Guidance Notes which can be downloaded below.

What can Grants be used for?

Grants can be used for:

• 'Core Costs' - the general day to day running costs for your organisation, eg salaries, marketing, volunteer expenses and other support for volunteers, other items to help run the organisation and provide services.

   

• 'Project Costs' - money for a particular project taking place on top of your usual activities.  New groups can also apply.

• 'One-off Costs' - events or performances, equipment or special repairs.

All projects or services should have measurable outcomes that benefit the community.  The success of these outcomes will be by monitoring and evaluation; we can help you with this.

How to apply

Applications for grants are generally invited in September each year and an invitation to apply is published in the Eastbourne Herald at that time. Please watch this site for more information.
