Community Grants offer Eastbourne community and voluntary groups funding to support either their day to day work, called core funding, or for specific projects.

The purpose of the grants is to support the voluntary sector in making its contribution to meet the council's vision for Eastbourne. This is laid out in the Corporate Plan.

How much is available?

The budget is generally around £55,000. It is heavily oversubscribed so competition is fierce.

The minimum grant is normally £500.

No maximum grant is stated, but most grants are around £1,000 to £3,000.

The maximum grant awarded last year was £7,500.
