Overall crime in Eastbourne has fallen by over 20% from 2003/4 figures making Eastbourne an even safer place to live.
The current 2008/11 plan will continue to tackle all areas of crime with the intention of an overall reduction of 15% from the 2007/8 figures.
The Partnership will focus on several key areas:

Anti-social behaviour and criminal damage - where the intention is to reduce it by 20% from the 2007/8 figures

Violence in a public place – where the intended reduction will be 20% of the figure in 2007/8

Through increased Police operations it is intended to increase the number of offences of illegal drug possessions detected by 15% from the 2007/8 figure, and

Through increased Police operations it is intended to increase the number of drug trafficking and supply offences detected by 20% from the 2007/8 figure
