Overall crime in Eastbourne has been reducing over a number of years making Eastbourne an even safer place to live.
In April 2011 we launche our `new look' Community Safety Plan for 2011 - 2014 which not only incorprates areas of work for the Police, but the Fire and Rescue Service, NHS Sussex and Borough Council, who all have a stake in community safety for Eastbourne.
The Partnership will focus on several key priorities:
-
Support of countywide priorities of public confidence, controlled drugs, domestic abuse and road safety.
-
Alcohol related crime and disorder, to include street drinking, public place violent crime, young people drinking and serious sexual offences.
-
Anti-social behaviour to include criminal damage and youth arsons
-
Reducing re-offending
-
Development and implement effective Neighbourhood Management in designated areas
