The Let's Do Business exhibition is the leading business-to-business exhibition in East Sussex, bringing thousands of business people together in one place at one time.
The new event for Eastbourne on Wednesday 25 June 2008 at the Winter Garden was organised in association with Eastbourne and District Chamber of Commerce.
Business Advice and Support
The event provided opportunities to network face-to-face with owners, directors and key decision-makers of businesses from Eastbourne and the surrounding areas.
It also offered impartial business advice from a range of local support agencies including Eastbourne Borough Council.
Small Business Advice Packs
Staff from the council's Environmental Health service provided practical business advice about health and safety at work.
We handed out over 110 free Small Business Advice Packs, which are also available to download in PDF format below.
Posters on our display showed the truth behind the bureaucratic back covering and trivial risks you read about in media health and safety myths. Our advice offers practical solutions to deal with real risks to your workers and your business. Our inspections focus on priority safety topics.
There was plenty of interest in our stand and over 50 people entered our free prize draw to win a £20 BBC cookery book Tony and Giorgio.
We shared Stand D41 with the council's Economic Development service, who provide help to support and develop local businesses.
Our partner agency East Sussex NHS Stop Smoking Service also had a stand at the show, offering free support for employers to help staff to quit smoking.
