How the Radio Link Network Works
The Radio Link Network is a network of mobile hand held radios, which allows two way audio communication between radios. You can also text.
The radios are logged onto software held in the Arndale Centre security offices. This software alerts the operatives of any alarm raised including the panic button for emergencies only on the radios. When the panic button is raised it sounds on every radio in the system.
There is a radio in the Police CCTV room at Eastbourne Police Station that monitors radio traffic.
The network also allows members to:
exchange information about the activity of criminals within the town
summon assistance from other scheme members, and
let staff and security personnel at other locations on current situations
Training
Training in radio use is supplied to all scheme members upon subscription and periodically thereafter.
How to Join
