The latest local campaign run by the council's Environmental Health service is Bar and Cellar Safety for pubs and clubs in Eastbourne, which runs until March 2010.

Asbestos - The Hidden Killer Awareness Campaign

Our health and safety team is targeting local resources to help businesses raise safety standards in licensed premises.

We also support national HSE campaigns such as Asbestos - The Hidden Killer through our inspection programmes, local publicity initiatives and awareness events.

Health and Safety Awareness Event in Eastbourne

Free Awareness Day Presentations

We ran a free health and safety awareness day event for local hotels, B&Bs, guest houses and care homes in October 2007.

The event particularly highlighted lift safety, legionella awareness, electrical safety and fire regulations, with speakers from a range of organisations.
