How Can I Pay?

• Direct Debit - Most of our customers in Eastbourne pay their rates by Direct Debit as it saves time and makes sure that payments are always with us on time. If you would like to pay by Direct Debit please download our Direct Debit instruction at the bottom of this page and return to:

• Pay Online - If you have a credit or debit card you can pay online via the internet. You will need to have your bill and credit or debit card ready.
  
  Make a payment online now.
  
  If you use a credit card to pay, a surcharge of 1.5% will be payable. This reflects the bank's charges to the Council for accepting credit card payments.
  
  Please note that Electron and American Express cards are not accepted.
  

• Telephone - You can pay your bill by credit or debit card over the phone by ringing us on 01323 415803. Have your bill and credit or debit card ready.
  
  If you prefer, you can ring our automated telephone service which is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call our automated telephone payment service on 01323 649358.
  
  Please note that Electron and American Express cards are not accepted.

• Credit Transfer/Internet Banking - Some banks allow transmission of payment by credit transfer or internet banking. When making a payment remember to quote your business rate account number shown on your bill. Our Bank details are:

  Please note that payments made by this method could take up to 5 working days to be credited to your business rate account, because of the way the banking system operates.

Where can I pay?

• At a Bank - If you wish to pay by this method you will need special vouchers. Please contact your bank for further advice.

• In Person - You can pay your bill in cash at our office using the automated kiosk. You will need to have your business rate account number with you. The kiosk gives change and a receipt.

• The Council Office at 1 Grove Road is open from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and 9.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. on Wednesdays.
