These licences are required in order to regulate the sale of pet animals, under the Pet Animals 1951 (Amendment) Act 1983.
The licence imposes conditions relating to the feeding and housing of the animals. Complaints are thoroughly investigated by the council's Environmental Health service.
The council has a working relationship with the RSPCA and shares information on complaints.

You need to notify us in writing as soon as possible, with a cheque for the amendment fee of £10.50, payable to Eastbourne Borough Council.
