Forms to apply for a provisional licence statement for a new premises in Eastbourne, issued under the Licensing Act 2003 for alcohol, entertainment and late night refreshment.
What is a Provisional Licence Statement?
Provisional Statements are used for premises which are intended to become licensed, but which have not yet been built or converted. They are intended for use by developers seeking reassurances that their premises will be granted a Premises Licence once completed.
Once a Provisional Statement has been granted (provided the premises are completed in accordance with the Statement), the scope for objections to the subsequent Premises Licence is limited to the differences in the operating schedule.
How Long Will It Take to Get a Decision?
The Licensing Act 2003 gives the licensing authority up to two months to process applications, from the date a complete application is received. There is a 28 day statutory minimum consultation period. Objections may be received and a committee hearing will then need to be arranged.
