Notify Us of an Interest in Licensed Premises

Notify us of an interest in premises in Eastbourne which are licensed by the council for alcohol, entertainment and late night refreshment under the Licensing Act 2003.

You Can Notify Us of an Interest in a Premises if:

  • you have a legal interest in the premises as a freeholder or leaseholder
  • you are the legal mortgagee in respect of the premises - within the meaning of the Law of Property Act 1925
  • you are in occupation of the premises
 
There is also a separate online form for other interested parties (neighbouring residents and businesses) to object to licence applications. If this is what you are looking for, go to our Making Representations page.

What Do You Need to Send to Us?

  • The completed application form
  • A cheque for the fee of £21, payable to 'Eastbourne Borough Council'

What Will You be Notified Of?

For 12 months from the date of your application, we will inform you of any changes to the statutory register which relate to those premises.
 
This includes all applications for:
 
  • Premises Licences
  • Club Premises Certificates
  • Provisional Statements
  • Temporary Event Notices
 
as listed in Schedule 3 of the Licensing Act 2003.
