Fire Safety Risk Assessment in Licensed Premises

Making Your Premises Safe from Fire Booklet

Fire safety guidance for licensed premises in Eastbourne. Information about fire safety law, which changed from 1 October 2006.

Employers are required to carry out a risk assessment of their workplace. If five or more people are employed, a formal record of the findings must be kept.

You need to put in place fire precaution measures. These could include fire alarm systems and extinguishers as well as clearly signed escape routes. You are responsible for the safety of your guests and your staff.
