Summary of Our Services
We provide help and advice to local businesses
Inspect all food premises on a risk-rating basis
Investigate cases of food poisoning and control further spread
Respond to national food alerts
Investigate complaints about food and food businesses
Sample, detain and seize food where necessary
Approve specialist food premises under EU regulations
Raise awareness of food safety issues in the community
Work in partnership with the Food Standards Agency
Safer Food, Better Business is a food safety management system to help catering businesses and food retailers to comply with hygiene legislation.
