The Food Standards Agency has been informed by the Northumbria Police Service that they are investigating the distribution of counterfeit SPAR Imperial Vodka.

The Agency has issued food safety advice for people who have been affected by the recent flooding.

Star Foods has recalled its own brand of herbed/spiced chicken, chicken roll/chicken breast, smoked mackerel and peppered mackerel, because an incorrect 'use by' date appears on the product packaging.

The ?Eat Safe? award scheme is celebrating success in Northern Ireland, with the number of eateries awarded the Eat Safe logo reaching a landmark 500. From hotels to residential homes and primary schools to pizzerias there are a growing number of diverse kitchens entitled to display the logo.

The Food Standards Agency is holding a one-day workshop on 12 November for enforcement authorities and businesses associated with food contact materials and articles. They will discuss draft guidelines on declarations of compliance.

The Food Law Code of Practice for Northern Ireland has been updated. The new version of the code is now available.

Eat Natural has recalled some of its Crunchy Toastcrumbs Oats Honey and Coconut cereal (450g), because the product contains hazelnuts, which are not mentioned on the label, resulting in incorrect allergen information. This means the product is a possible health risk for individuals with an allergy to hazelnuts.
