Poor hygiene is bad for your business.
Fortunately, the Food Standards Agency has a range of tools that can help you manage food hygiene and keep your customers.
Free Tools to Help You Manage Food Safety
The Agency wants every food business to have good hygiene standards.
It provides a range of tools, including Safer Food, Better Business, which is an innovative and practical approach to food safety management.
These free tools can help food businesses – including those just starting up – comply with food hygiene legislation.
Help from our Food Safety Officers
The Agency works in partnership with the council. Our food safety officers provide advice directly to businesses, promote the tools and help businesses implement them.
To view the tools and resources available, use our link to go to the Food Standards Agency website, or find out in this section about the local help available in Eastbourne from the council's food safety officers.
Business Awareness Campaign
The FSA is running the Good Hygiene is Good for Business campaign across the UK from Monday 25 January until Monday 1 March 2010.
The awareness campaign targets catering businesses that supply food direct to consumers, such as restaurants, takeaways and cafés.
The campaign includes posters, adverts in trade publications and regional radio advertising. You can download two of the posters from the campaign below.
