Eastbourne Borough Council is seeking written expressions of interest for operators interested in setting up a temporary catering provision on the Wish Tower site. Offers will be considered for the use of the site once the existing building has been demolished.
Interested parties should provide a written outline of their proposal. Copies of the creative brief, detailing the background, requirements and expectations for this operation are available to download below and it is strongly recommended that interested parties consider this document before registering their interest.
The proposal should include details of experience and the capacity to sustain the operation within the constraints of this site along with any examples of similar operations on which their scheme may be based and any other appropriate information to support their application. Interested parties are invited to complete a questionnaire, which is available through the contact below or from the website www.eastbourne.gov.uk/wishtower. The completed questionnaire will form part of the evaluation process.
It is envisaged that if the Council decides it is able to go ahead with granting a lease for this site, the contract will be for up to two years and would be outside of the Landlord & Tenant Act. The lease would commence ready for the summer season 2012. Actual terms of the lease will be subject to final consultation and agreement between both parties and is expected to be completed by April 2012.
The completed questionnaire and proposal should be sent to the address below in a plain sealed envelope, marked “Wish Tower” and for the attention of the Tourism Development Manager, Annie Wills by the closing date 17.00hrs Thursday 23rd February 2012. Applications are now closed.
Late applications will not be considered. If you require further information please contact Annie Wills, Tourism Development Manager:
