Promote the construction industry as a professional industry.

Encourage partnership working between the construction industry and public organisations.
Action Plan 2008/09
Encourage membership to the Eastbourne Construction Partnership, the intelligence sharing network - Target: Businesses who want more construction contracts.
Promote the Eastbourne Construction Training & Employment Charter.
Encourage key developments to sign the Eastbourne Construction Training &
Employment Charter - Target: 2 key sites.
Keep the construction area of the Council’s website up to date and issue the regular construction newsletter – Get That Contract
Make it easier to do business with the Council.
Follow the progress of the Eastbourne Town Centre Regeneration Scheme.
Continue to work with the Hastings Construction Thriving Initiative.
Organise and deliver an Eastbourne Construction Skills Expo in 2008.
Re-evaluate project in April 2009.
