The Eastbourne Construction Partnership formed in response to the national skills shortage and the extensive amount of construction work planned in Eastbourne.
To help secure the social and physical regeneration of the town for the lasting benefit of the local community, the Eastbourne Construction Training & Employment Charter was adopted.
The Charter is a voluntary code of practice which invites employers and developers of one off sites to use reasonable endeavours to maximise the training and recruitment of local people and to encourage a local supply chain.
By working together it is possible to create and help maintain a highly skilled and motivated workforce in Eastbourne.
