A similar project to the Eastbourne Construction Charter is running in Hastings called the Hastings Thriving Construction Initiative.
Members of the Eastbourne Construction Training & Employment Charter are able to sign up to the Hastings Initiative to reap further benefits.
An anticipated £450 million will be spent over the next 5 years on regeneration in Hastings and Bexhill.
Some of the proposed new developments include:
- New college buildings – in the Town Centre and Ore Valley
- Ore Valley Millennium Community - 700 homes
- Priory Quarter
- Proposed Hastings/Bexhill link road
- Seafront improvements, and
- Bexhill High School
