Part of Ratton Ward (polling district RNA)
The Council is commencing a review of the polling districts and places for the polling stations in part of the above named ward. This review is as a result of the final proposals announced on 27 September by the Local Government Boundary Commission for England for warding arrangements in Eastbourne. The changes will affect both the borough ward boundaries in the above named ward and the county division of the same name.
The consultation period runs from Wednesday 5 October until Friday 18 November 2016.
A polling district is the geographical sub-division of an electoral area. Neither the parliamentary constituency boundary nor the local government or division boundaries may be changed by this review.
A polling place is the building or area in which polling stations are located.
The Council has prepared draft proposals which are published on the Council's website and available for inspection - see below.
Any elector within the Eastbourne Parliamentary Constituency may make representations on the current arrangements and draft proposals. Representations on these or any other related matter are welcomed from persons or group with interest or expertise in the access to premises or facilities for persons who have different forms of disability. Any person or body making a representation should where appropriate give alternative places that may be used as polling places.
